In order to provide their channels information to their customers National Satellite Systems
needed an enterprise-wide solution. The planned site was supposed be one point solution for
basic packages, program details, equipment, offers and free quote on the different package for the customers.
Ray Business Technologies studied National Satellite Systems requirement and after several brainstorming sessions, they proposed Kentico CMS for the implementation of their site.
Goals:
National Satellite Systems (NSS) want to have an application which has their packages, program, equipments, and blogs details. And also if any customer want to know more about their packages they can get a free quote.
Challenges
Main challenges are providing the workflow as well as versioning for the content changed in the application.
Application should meet their custom design in terms of the main top navigation, left navigation.
Should provide get a quote form for the customers.
Solutions
Integrated social network sites like facebook, twitter.
Used CMSListMenu for the main top navigation and CMSTreeView for the left navigation.
Used BreadCrumbs webpart for providing sitemap navigation.
Created the document types for the dish network offers and displayed them in a repeater on a home page.
Created a bizform which includes the fields like Name, Email, Phone, Zip code for the customers to get a free quote from the National Satellite Systems.
Maintained a simple workflow to create one level of approval for content changes
